There is a need for a later bus departing the university after 5:40pm as lectures can finish much later. Most lectures are finished by 6:30-7:00pm and not having a bus means that people will end up missing lectures as there is no alternative, practice form of transport. (As catching a train will mean about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour train ride followed by another lengthy bus ride depending on where you live.) A later bus leaving at 7:00 – 7:30 would help to improve attendance at night lectures where classes can be quite small due to transport restrictions.
It gets ridiculously packed on the 7:17am bus and at the 5:40pm bus as it is, there is barely enough room with both the buses!!, at some points there is still people standing, to remove the second buses now would just be foolish.

It is not very often that people get on or off going through the Buli way. This will reduce the trip time and would possibly increase the amount of people who catch the bus rather than drive.
An 887X bus would really be handy at 7:15am and 5.45pm.
Making the 887 Service Safe – A Community Lobby Up to 15 people will begin their journey standing and a dozen more will have joined them by the time the bus passes through Ambarvale, Rosemeadow and Appin. The 887′s ninety minute trip through Appin and along Bulli Pass is now a ... Continue reading »
